Short Ram vs. Cold Air Intake

I was wondering if anyone had any info/experience with an intake on either the 2.2 ecotec or the 2.4 twin cam. Soundwise, which is better, the Short Ram intake or the Cold air intake? Has anyone had any problem with water/debris in the cold air intake? Does the filter get dirty very often? I just need some good solid info before I buy.

Cold-air before a short ram since the CAI breathes cooler air. Get a 2 piece intake that can be changes from short-ram(hot-air//HAI) or CAI. Bypass valves are a waste IMO unless you plan on completely submerging the air inlet under water.
