Its really important to me to have my a/c when i put my LS in, im a girl i like to ride in comfort, sweating is my enemy, anyway someone told me most import enthusiasts can swap an engine but only someone skilled can ge the a/c to work on the new motor, is it really that hard, whats involved, can someone tell me what they did, and what exactly is the b-series a/c bracket used for?

you get the hasport a/c bracket which allows the d-series compressor to hook up to the b-series block. Then you can use you exsiting a/c lines and whatnot..

:werd: What he said....its not that hard, just most people don't want to take the time and spend the extra $75 for the bracket to hook it up. That and the fact that usually people take the rad. and a/c lines and compressor out to put the new engine in and they are just like....why bother putting it all back in. So basically you just need the extra bracket....good luck.

idk why but i had a hella hard time getting the battery tray and battery back in there because the lower radiator hose and the ac lines where in the way, probably because i bent them so much getting them out of the way and stuff

A/C is for pussies eh? I've run without A/C before... but the high here was 112ºF. yesterday... A/C is GOD in this weather.... only problem is, my car came originally with no a/c hardware at all... so I'm going to end up having to buy all that off another car I suppose.
And with the aftermarket a/c bracket you use your dseries compressor... but could you not use the bseries compressor if it's already on the engine?

i used to think a/c was the best thing ever ... but after all the damn money that has been spent getting my shit working just to have shit keep breaking it simply isnt worth it. Get yourself some dark ass tints, wear short sleeve shirts, and roll with the windows down.

Sit in some NYC traffic in the middle of July, and creaping at a WHOPPING 2MPH, with cars all around you with their motors running, hot asphalt, burning sun, and NO A/C.
Then you can tell me what you think A/C is for, OKAY!?

haha more like my three warning tickets ... i only got 1 actual ticket and that was for runnin a red light but i went to traffic school and got that shit off.
What REALLY starts blowin around is all my papers and shit from school and my backpack which is in the back seat.
