trunk wn't open

Hi i'm new here, hello everybody!!

just own a '99 and find out the trunk won't open. look like a known issue...
how to fix? any advices?

do you mean that it doesn't unlatch? or that it doesn't open by itself?

The door doesn't open by itself, maybe the lifter problem?

Ok, so it unlatches itself but it fails to raise up by itself?
In that case it is just a case of buying 2 new hydrolic lifting rams. They are easy to take on and off. What you could do is take them both off and then see if one of them is much weeker than the other. If one is then you only need to replace that one.
