Depends what you consider a "nice paint job." Paint jobs range from $100.00 to $10,000+. Are you changing color & want door jabs, trunk jamb, under hood repainted? Who will do the prep work? You or them . . IMO if you let the shop take car of prep/paint get ready to spend atleast $1,000 for a nice job. I have seen $4,000 paint jobs that look like shit. Take it some where they well known for good paint jobs.

:iagree:

You gotta make sure you don't rush into a paint job, cuz if it looks like ass, then youre stuck with it unless you get another paint job to cover it up. Just cuz a place is expensive doesn't mean they will do a good job. Especially if you want somethin fancy. Ive seen too many people get expensive chamelion paint jobs that come out looking like a rainbow gone wrong. I'm glad I like the color my car came in.

how much would it cost to get two bumpers, side moldings, and rocker pannels professionally done oem original color, under 500 maybe?

Already mounted or not? If not, then I would have to say, definitely more than $500 cuz they're gonna charge you labor hours for the mounting/fitting plus you wanna make sure they do a good job with the color match/finish.

red piant costs more than other basic colors I dont knoe why is just is so keep that in mind and also yellows and oranges are hard to paint so that can be cost effective also.

If you want it done right...you can't skimp out quality...also where you get it painted...and how they do the job.

Go to a reputable place, get recommendations, see finished work from the shop and get customer opinions (if available). Also...get guarantee's on their work...if it crack's, dirt in the paint, what ever...you can take it back and they MUST fix the problems...

Good luck and don't just jump into a paint job w/out doing the research...you're going to have to live w/how your car looks for as long as you own the car...or at least until you repaiint it if it looks like @$$...

molding in body panels is complicated work to do in some areas of the car like the rear bumper and sideskirts. expect to pay a bit for the bodywork. try to get a two stage paint job. becuase a three stage and single stage are harder to paint so it might cost extra also. one more thing to remember is the brand of products that the shop uses. if they use cheap products then the work can come out looking like shit. but if they use the good stuff then the quality of the work is usually much better. i like PPG personally, but they might use some other brand.
