So, whats the advantage of getting steel braided brake lines over standard flex hose brake lines? Is it another mainly looks mod or is there really a purpose. Today I just replaced my old ones with new rubber ones but I just wonder what the hype is of the steel ones.

the main reason you change over from rubber - stainless braided lines is to reduce the flexing on the line.....rubber lines are not as firm and they flex causing brake fade under heavy use, braided lines dont do this...I highly recommend this if you have upgraded any of your braking system.....

recently I added the BIG BRAKE for my ef : prelude rotors redrilled to 4x100, accord calipers, and ex hubs, and when I changed from the rubber lines to stainless I noticed a difference.

i was told that the fluid in the rubber lines expands when it gets to hot and the steel lines dont' do that. I recently upgraded to project mu steel lines as well and i can feel the difference especially on those quick stops. wasn't worth 150$ but at least i won't be crashin into any trees anytime soon
