I use Tamiya Acryllics 90% of the time. almost always airbrushed. i use Humbrol 85 enamel instead of X-18 always. and i use Alclad II for all metallics. some times i use Model Master Acryl for bodies. that is pretty much it.

Got all day to read a reply that is gonna take me a while to type?
Lacquers:
PlastiKote - colors and primer. Rattle cans and bottles for airbrushing. Metalflakes, Pearls, Metallics and touch up paints. Not their clear though, it eats my paint!
Duplicolor - primers and primer sealer. Sometimes I grab their rattle cans for some of their more interesting colors. The bottles are just too small!
Tamiya - Best rattle cans in the business!
Sherwin-Williams - custom mixed rattle cans. I've got a couple of interior colors in custom mixed rattlers. Expensive though.
Testors Model Master Metallizers
"The Model Metallizer"
SNJ Spray metal
Zynolite primer
Ditzler automotive paint for airbrushing - haven't had any of this for a while. Helped to have a friend in the business, but he retired.
Probably a couple of others I've forgotten.
Enamels: (for brushing and/or airbrushing, or rattle cans)
Humbrol tins
Testors bottles - their spray cans just don't do it for me.
Floquil - yep, the model railroad stuff
Pactra - still got some of their old bottles left.
Krylon Short Cuts - Bottles, bought a couple of spray cans
PlastiKote Odds -n- Ends - Bottles
Model Master - bottles
Duplicolor Engine Enamel - rattle cans.
PlastiKote Engine Enamel - rattle cans
Zynolite Engine Enamel - rattle cans
Krylon - colors and clears. Their satin stuff is great for interiors. The clear goes over nearly anything, never had problems with it.
Color Place - Wal Mart has these for cheap. The satin colors are great for interiors.
Acrylics: (again, brushed or airbrushed)
Tamiya rocks!
Gunze Sangyo
Model Master Acryl (not my favorite)
Delta Ceramcoat - for figures and interiors
Plaid's Apple Barrel line - for figures and interiors
Polly S - railroad colors again. Some neat stuff here too.
A couple of others I forget too.
Other:
Nail polish! Seriously, colors you won't find anywhere else!! Thin it with lacquer thinner and airbrush it. Some are called "Nail Enamels", but they sure don't act (or smell) like enamel. Revlon, Nail Slicks, Oil of Olay, Bon-Bons, Sally Hanson, etc.
Well, that about covers it! I'm sure I forgot a few, no doubt there.

Man you too! I had the 68 GTO by Revell almost done and had some problems with the hood and repainted it, about 9 months later I went to clear it and all I had was the plasticote and it ate the paint up bad.
Oh well, its off to the purple pond and then I will use it for a CF how to.
