intake manifold hoses?

Hi,
Right behind the intake manifold on the MPFI engine there is a gold end where a hose is suposed to go, i guess. Are you suppsoed to have a hose there if you converted to MPFI from DPFI?
ANyone got a good diagram or even better pics of where the hoses go on a MPFI engine?
