power window regulator trouble

My driver's door power window regulator went out. The plastic cable clip snapped.
What would be your recommendation of a quality rebuilt replacement vs new one from the Nissan dealer to save money?

Is it possible to repair the regulator?
How difficult is it to replace one of these myself? I heard it's not that difficult.
