BOV mounted on intercooler pipe

I have seen a blitz BOV mounted on an aftermarket up-piped from the intercooler to the engine and keeping the stock BOV in place. Is this a good idea since it seems not to cause to stall the car by not blocking off the stock blow off return pipe. have you guys ever heard of such a set up???
