i have a 98 integra ls automatic. i hear that the best way to increase horse is to get a turbo charger. would a turbo charger do the job and how much would it cost for a decent one.

What does how much your got your stuff for have to do with his question? Absoulutely NOTHING. :eek7:
Also, you got ripped off, even if you think that's a good deal. Also, you can get a custom Spearco in the same dimesions for half that price.

Or you could have bought a T3 turbo out of a junkyard for 30 dollars and bought the new compressor housing and rebuild kit for 300 bucks. As for the intercooler, it was pretty dumb spending 900 dollars for a custom PWR intercooler when you could have bought an off the shelf 24x11 for 600 shipped, and you got SERIOUSLY screwed if you paid 500 dollars for a max rev manifold. With the money you could have saved on the turbo and intercooler you could have afforded a good manifold like a full race equal length.

You'll probably want to stick to a smaller turbo. I don't think that an auto tranny could put up with much over 250whp. A smaller turbo will allow you to spool faster while staying in an efficient boost range.

I agree.
Also your internals probably won't take much more than 10 PSI without building up anyhow. You should do just fine with a T28 turbo. Good spool and not too much boost. If you plan to build up the engine later on I would suggest a T03 or a T03/T04 hybrid turbo. Also avoid getting any sleeve bearing turbos, stick to the ball bearing type. Also take a look at Garrett's new GT series of turbos.
I think that turbocharging is the best way to get a good amount of power out of a four cylinder engine. I would say go for it.
