Performance Center Delivery

I'm considering ordering a new 325Xi and taking delivery at the Performance center in South Carolina. Has anyone out there done this? If so, would you recommend it, how much does it cost, what is included, etc.... Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

I will be doing this next month in SC for a 330i convertible I ordered. It takes about 8 weeks from order and there is no additional charge for the service> Basically, thery schedule you and another person in a hotel the night before, provide dinner for 2, pick you up then next mroning (breakfast??), give you a tour of the museum, the production factory, present your car to you and then give you both a 2 hour session with a professional drived on the track (handling, accident avoidance, car features and how to use and when, etc.). They reported teach you how to handle skidding, cornering, hydroplaning, etc. in a "like model" factory car.

You can crudely track your car (and find out more about it on BMWUSA.com) through a production number. I have spoken to the dealers and some salespeople who have done it and they highly recommend it. Since I am fairly local, it is was a good choice for me. You must provide you own transportation to Spartanburg and make arrangements for your car to be driven home. If you want to ship it, they can arrange that as well (but you pay).
