What the FUCK! is a "remote procedure call" and why does it automatically shut down my computer whenever it messes up? Windows is really pissing me off (again) because it just started pulling this bullshit now whenever im trying to play counterstrike.

Post specs of your current system and operating system version your running.
Also post if you have done anything recently to the pc, added hardware, installed software, uninstalled software, downloaded something, etc.
But if in windows xp, goto control panel -> systems -> system properties -> advance tab -> click on settings -> tick automatically restarting.
It'll stop restarting upon a problem but it still doesn't solve the problem as it might crash the system.

in windows xp.......there is a way to basically get back the way the computer was...........
go to....Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>and then go to System Restore
then just choose a previous restore point if you have one......be advised though......this may not help and you may lose some of your programs.....

I just happened randomly while playing CS, and i have had CS installed for a while. I think its my netowrk (POS comcast that at least once a week loses connection) but my computer blames itself and tries to commit suicide.

It sounds like something is doing some sort of remote access to your pc.
Have you run a virus scan? It could be some sort of trojan running in your pc to have caused all this problem.
Since its a bit hard to diagnos maybe reformat and start again, it sounds quite serious.

Is this what you are talking about???
I was just about to post something about this as I though I might have had a trojan virus or something.

It looks like something is exploiting a security vulnerability of windows, as XP has quite a few, although the sp1/sp1a did fix quite a lot but none the less there's still alot, esp if your running some form os IIS.
I'd advice to do a scan from a clean disk (something which haven't had any form of infection to scan your current hard drive), but best is to do a format and start again. I hope u keep a backup of the important stuff.

Here is the link for the d/l for that patch, you might have to do a bit of searching on there for your version I have been hit about 50+ times today before I patched it, since then I havent got hit once.

There should b a link and info about what's happending to your system.
It sounds like a virus taking advantage of the security exploit on the windows based system, it also seems to be everywhere and its kicking quite a fuss.
