I've had this model for 2yrs. Tried to do a chop top. Gave up. After I saw the truck meet thread it got me thinking about it again, so I finished the putty work lastnight and now it's ready for some primer.
Just thought you guys would like a look.

I'm thinking black with silver flames. (after seeing the flaming thread :icon16:) notice the widened rear guards and the smoothed hood.

Nice, I've been sitting on this kit for a while thinking of chopping the top but never get around to it. Looks good with the widened fenders.

Circuit R, is that the 55' Ford Flipnose with the supercharged 460 Cobra Jet Big Block? Why the hell did you put dual rice pipes on it?

I'd like to know what kit came with a supercharged "460 Cobra Jet". From what I remember the AMT flipnose (which is a '53 btw) kit came with a smallblock chevy. The Revellogram '55 with the rims Circuit's using comes with a late model 5.0 engine.

Looks awesome! I like the mufflers, keep them center exit looks nice. Whole body shape looks better chopped and widened. Only thing I could suggest is some bigger wheels, those wheels look overpowered by the sheer size of that truck, get some hoppin' hydros 21s for it :bloated:

Hopping hydros?
Never heard of them, let alone what they look like.
I'm pretty new to this site, Where do I get them from?

Great looking work.
The roof chop gives it a much better look and makes it look so tough looking :bigthumb:

If you still want ot check them out their website is http://www.hoppinhydros.com/
It's your call but I think show cars look better when everything knocks you off your feet, you might find some wheels that would look better on it, was only suggesting.

Mine was the 55' Ford Flipnose by AMT on the box it was shown in Flat Black and the instructions said it was outfitted with a S/Ced 460 CJ BBF engine.

It's not a flipnose.
It's a Revell kit with a picture of it in red with some lame blue decal stripes, I will post a pic of the box when I get a chance.
Been a bit busy with work 'n all.

Hey circuitR... Ok its a revell. WEll mines either the 55 or 58 Flipnose. I was wondering does your truck have an I6 or V8?
