Fujimi 240Z's = ?

Today I bought the Revell 240Z. It looks mediocre. So I decided to see if Fujimi or anyone Japanese made the car. Fujimi makes a few. Has anyone built any of these? If so which one? They look rather old, so I wonder if they are in fact better than the Revell kit? Anyway, anything anybody can tell me would be appreciated. Thanks.

Fujimi's 240Z kits aren't so old, at least not as old as some of the motorized kit of the 70s, when the real car was available.

It's meant to be a curbside, but the kit contains a nice L24 engine, so you can cut the hood, and put the engine inside. Problem is that it doesn't have other components, so use the parts from Revell 240Z.

My recommendation is either 240ZG for the sleek look, or Z432R, which has a powerful (at that time) S20 DOHC incline 6.

This might inspire me to do a project. I might get Fujimi's 240Z (It's $15 and has a red and black widebody 240Z drifting on the box) and put in Revells engine in, maybe do a monster twin turbo.. :icon16:

hiro- are the kits all pretty much similar but with different wheels and stick-on body kits like most of Fujimi's line up? Or is there a specific one with the L24, and not others?

There're street 240Z in 2003 Fujimi catalogue, and all of them have the engine. Engine details can be better, but it's useable.

< Inch Up >
432R - IIRC, both L24 and S20 engine are included, so you can have a spare. The box doesn't shut because there're so many parts.

< Real Sports Car >
240Z-L - Most basic 240Z
240ZG - Option G (Aero Dyna nose) and fender flare

< Nostalgic Racer >
240Z-L - Watanabe wheel
240ZG - Watanabe wheel

Besides, Z432, which has a different engine, you have a choice of Watanabe wheel or stock wheel, and G nose or standard nose.

I think Tamiya makes a 240Z too.....I could be wrong though (aside from the one in 1/12 I have).

Unfortunately, they don't. At least not in 1/24 scale.
Tamiya has 280ZX (HS130), 300ZX (Z31), 300ZX(Z32) and 350Z(Z33).
Fujimi's 240Z is the newest tool of all 240Z kit, so it's still the best one in 1/24.
