watter in my intake

OK i dont have a tube but still i put the filter wre the plastic tube was and removed my stock air box ....

since it was getting hot air in that location i decided to put the intake after the plastic tube and i guided the tube down right on the side of the engine bay but the other day it was porring and welll my car almost died on me all the whay from workt o home because the intake got wet . besides putting it somewere else is their like something that stops watter from comming up ? do the AIR BYPASS VALVE really work ?


and i've seen these front mount intakes that have a square shape.... wont they pull in watter if it's raining ?

i've heard that the Air Bypass Valve is worth it's weight in gold if you live in a high rain area....the front mounted intakes i dunno about...i would guess there would be some kinda valve or filter...kinda like the bypass valve...

i've heard they work now that i've sucked water in mine before. i'm gonna hook it back up for hte hell of it, but if you have the wheel well covers under the filter you should be ok (i didn't)
