1997 Ford Explorer alarm issues

My Explorer is arming itself, and when I try to disarm it with my remote it doesn't work. I can't start the thing either. Every two minutes the lights start flashing but the siren isn't going off? This all started after the battery was disconnected, and the remote batteries were replaced. Wher can I find info. on the alrm system, how to reprogram remote, and how the alarm works? Thanks TM
