front sidelights

shud be an easy one, how do i disable the sidelight in the actual headlights, so I just have the corner lenses lit up ?

i think he wants to disable his high beams or something just so his corner lenses lit up..but dude that's stupid and probably illegal...

Right, first setting and lights come on dim, in england we call those sidelights, then when you click it again its on dipped (normal nightime use) then when clicked back it's full beam,

what I want is when the lights are on dim (sidelights) I only want the corner lenses to light up. hopefully thats clarified things a little.

Well, aside from the tail-lights, the corner lights are all that should be on... So you want to disable the tail-lights?

ok ok ok .... when my headlights are on first setting... the dim one. . all I want is for the corner lenses to light up, but my headlights light up dim aswell. i was just wondering if its possible for just my corner lenses to light up. nothing to do with tail lights.

I think I get it now.. euro cars have 'city lights'... pop the bulbs out of the city lights, and you should be fine...

Are they actually a different bulb than the headlight bulbs? If so, that would be the solution, but if not, then you wouldn't have any headlight beams...

yeah..that's true, but I'm pretty sure its a small separate bulb that pokes into the housing somewhere and lights it up... although, it could run the headlight bulbs at a lower voltage too..hmm...

I know exactly what ur on about..., i done it to my civ. theres a resistor on the passenger side of the engine bay (well mine anyway, RHD) what it does is lower the voltage going to ur dip beam bulb. disconnect it.
it has a yellow sticker on it sayin this will get hot when sidemarkers are in use or suttin like that.... pics:

no bother bud, anytime. i'm actually from Inverness... 150 miles north o glasgow, i got my civic from newcastle!

the induction kit sounds superb! best money i've spent! 30 quid for the filter and a 5er for the s/s pipe that i made into a custom intake! its completely note to just the filter i had on it b4. my mate done the same to his crx vtec and sounds the same.. well at least until the vtec kicks in then its silly loud :bigthumb:

I think hes talking about what we call Driving Lights. The I postion on the switch on US cars makes our driving lights come on, II makes the headlights come on.
