Distributor installation

I need to know the information for installing a points distributor with an ignightor in it in place of the stock HEI distirbutor. i dont know where the stock position is and what the firing order is. can anyone help with some pictures or information
the engine is a poniac 305 tpi motor out of an 86 pontiac firebird
