crx engine swap questions

i have a 89 honda crx si, i want to do an engine swap...i would like to know which engine would be the best for price and hp....i will also need to drive the car everyday...so nothing somthing like the h22.........PLZ HELP.....and thx b4hand

also....i dont want to do suspension work...like how u would have to on the h22 swap....tryin to save money here....lol....

The LS engine would be a wise choose. It is a great starter swap because you could choose to either go turbo or swap a VTEC head onto it later or even both. Plus it is pretty much plug and play.

it all depends on how much you want to spend. if you want a cheap swap either ZC or D16 Signle Cam Vtec. if you want something reliable, either 2nd gen b16 in good condition, GSR, or Type-R swap. I personally would go with the GSR, it's newer and more powerful than the 2nd Gen B16, and it's cheaper up front than a Type-R. so if you can afford it, go GSR, it's a good motor, and your car will run nice and fast as shyt :bigthumb:
