Hay,
Could u guys tell me what info in the following paragraph is correct and incorrect? its bout the Evo in 2Fast 2Furious.
Regarding the Harlequin Yellow with the custom paint job evolution 8 with the Blue neon under light and the veilside bodykit and the 19 inch shadow chromes, the suquential blow off valve. The yellow Mitsu from 2 Fast 2 Furious. This vehicle is known as An EVO 8.

the evo in 2F2F is an evo 7 not an evo 8

The Evo VII doesn't really look yellow, either. The color looks more like some sort of neon green with metal flakes.
Anyway, the body kit is by DAMD, not Veilside. IIRC, the wheels are by Motegi Racing and are not chrome.

The Evo in 2F2F was slower than a stock Evo VII. It's quarter mile was 15.3. All the cars in that movie sucked ass. They all just looked good. Even the skyline which god knows why someone would even do any kind of body work on a skyline. Bottom Line that Evo sucked, but looked good.

A) most of these cars were driven like shit...so they were pretty messed up at the time.
B) there were only few upgrades to the engine, mostly just for show
C) one reason the skyline was slow was because they took the AWD off, and made the movie cars an RWD (the evo had awd, but was in poor condition) also, the skyline had a whole shitload of unnessasary weight on it.

ha...Jaged_Ice reads a real car magazine,I also have that issue of Sport Compact Car,the Supra is even retarded slow.They also aired it on Super 2NR,they saod"these are movie cars,they aren't supposed to be fast,they just look good"And that is the tructh,all the evo has in the line of mods are a bodykit,spoiler,seats,ugly barf green paint,and an exhaust tip.I'll tell you now All cars in 2 fast 2 furious suck,if you like them,your a hopeless pathetic ricer

the evo7 in 2fast2furious was ordered from japan..they got this car without it even being advertised in the us..when the us got it they made it more powerful at the dealers making it more powerful when u got it stock..they say his was turbocharged with a 4 speed manual transmission when the evo7 i believe has more than a 4 speed..the evo7 in 2f2f shouldnt have been in the movie..dont even try to copy it

Up until the J-spec and Euro spec Evolution 8, Evo's have always been 5 speed manual transmissions with the exception of the Evo VII GT-A which has an shiftable automatic 5 speed tranny. an issue of sport compact uummm bout 6 months ago tested those exact cars, the evo, eclpse, yenko camero the s2000 and the skyline and 15.4 1/4 time for the evo was what sport compact

EVO 7 are all over the world, it's just that the US didn't have them. I have a left had drive and so do 18 others I know off.

The EVO VII wasn't stock at all, it was highly modified in fact. Too bad none of it was under the hood :grinno:
Part of the reason the EVOs from the movie were so slow is because those double square designs in the doors: those were actually removable plates so they could put cameras through the doors while filming certain scenes. Well, that and all of the ricer pieces on the car.

Another reason is that all cars used for filming the action sequences had double-strength rollcages welded into them [basically made out of scaffolding pipe]
Who honestly cares that the cars in the film were slow ? why would you fork out stupendous amounts of money to own one just for it's performance value, when you could buy one that wasnt used in the film for a fraction of the price.
Of course they were shit-slow; they were designed to look good & let the filming take care of the rest !!
[And yes, obviously whether they look good is a matter of personal opinion, and not something worth arguing about !!]
