I currently own a '99 Firebird 3.8L with T-top.

I'm interested in "souping" it up a bit. Not visually, but physically.

I think all the parts are stock.

Now, I don't want to rip out the engine and put a 5.8L in. We're sticking with the 3.8L.

Price of part is needed, please specify CDN or USA currency.

Information on mileage change due to new modification is appreciated. I believe it currently gets 19/30.

Information on HP increase is also appreciated.

Wider tires? Is this possible on back and front? Would I need new rims?

Your the experts, help me out! From a 5 dollar part to whatever, I'd appreciate all information; Thanks!

There are a million things you could do. buy SLP cold air intake. Upgrade muffler. get a cat back. New headers. Change your gearing from stock to 3.73. Take out spare tire and airconditioning. Get lower springs. Many more too i jsut cant think of them all now

pacesetter makes some really cool headers now for them. The whisper or slp lids are expensive and the same results can be gained with smoothing your stock lid and deleting the baffles with some PVC pipe. Also do the K&N filter and LS1 "free ram air mod" thas a great power gains for the 3.8. before mine was totaled I dynoed 218 at the wheels. thats 260-270 at the flywheel. I had done the gheto air intake like I said, a 3" exhaust, the RKsport headers(crap) and the air temp module and the O2 sim and had an off road pipe.
