I want to get the new crane cams HI-6 ignition but again this guy at a new shop says an ignition is going to due shit that the littlest spark will do that job and bla bla bla. Well heres my question is a msd or crane cam or whatever kind of igition really work? Do you see any results? Is it really worth it or should I just not even bother.

I have been contemplating the excact same thing, hope somebody replies... I have been told "a spark is a spark, it will still ignite even with all the extra fuel and air." But I have also been told "stock coils aren't good enough for a FI motor"

Thats what I was thinkig since I have FI I was thinking well shit if an ignition is going to burn more fuel than what I got now it must be better and all that but like you said people say a spark is a spark then why the hell do people buy denso iridium spark plugs you know why waste your money on after market wires why do all that if you say an ignition doesnt do crap.

stock ignition systems are pretty strong

updrading the ignition system on a stock car wont do a thing besides easier starting.

People replace spark plug wires because good aftermarket wires have less resistance. Less resistance = slightly more power because the alternators does not need to work as hard.

I have the MSD-SCI w/ rev limiter, MSD cap, MSD wires, & MSD Blaster HVB coil. My car has slightly better throttle response, burns cleaner & faster

ignition upgrades will start to show better increases on a highly modded engine.
