Big Block F-bodies

Anyone with a big block in an F-body, let me know. I'm looking to do this swap, but I want to know some details such as handling characteristix and things like that.......thanx in advance!

Wow.....no takers? Somebody know someone somewhere who has some details that aren't found in any magazine article, website info page, etc.?

Ummm......ok. Lets get the record straight. :chair: GM does not hold a patent for referring to body styles by letter codes; ie., A-body, B-body, C-body, etc. :headshake

Mopar A-body: Duster, Demon, Dart, '64-69 Barracuda, etc.
Mopar B-body: Charger, Roadrunner, Super Bee, etc.
Mopar C-body: Newport, New Yorker, etc.
Mopar E-body: '70-74 Cuda and Challenger
MOPAR F-BODY: DODGE ASPEN AND PLYMOUTH VOLARE

Sorry if I confused anyone...I figured that posting my question about my Dodge Aspen in a Dodge Forum would have been understood. BUT, I guess I didn't specify that I meant DODGE F-bodies....my bad.

I wouldn't worry about it. The world's full of people who speak (or type) without thinking first, and I've come to the realization that there's nothing we can do about it.

EDIT: Oh, and did you notice that in his haste, he pointed you directly to the Pontiac forum, completely neglecting the fact that, if you were referring to GM's F-bodies, you might well have had a CHEVROLET CAMARO in mind? LOL

I recall that the Aspens came with the 360 at one point. I read an old magazine article about fitting a big block in a B-body, and recall that the suspension must be upgraded with the heavier torsion bars to handle the weight. Handling suffered, but straight line acceleration, of course, got much better. You might be better off putting one of those 360 HP crate motors in, or building a 360 (Unless of course you've got that 440 just sitting around!)

You want a big block in anf F body? so what's stopping you? PUT IT IN.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE in F body cars with heavy or light "K" frames like B, A or E bodies. It'll fit. use engine mount brackets for a 74 cordoba with a 400. Its That simple.
Look for Big blocks in St Regis's, Cordoba's, etc.... it's all the same suspension stuff.

I wouldn't say an F body is a preffered body for a rod, but an old Volare roadrunner with the split rear seat and console shifter might be pretty cool....!
Still...what an ugly dash! Consider using a dash out of a 78-up Diplomat, and putting real guages in all the fake holes... and it fits!
