V-8 S-10

im looking to buy a 305 or 350 for my 1985 S-10 blazer. i have around a 2000 dollar budget. does anyone know how much it will cost to get a V-8 and a transmission? will i have to get a new rearend

I can build you a 350 + Tranny for $2000 =) I'd be able to get around 450 horse power for that, auto or stick?, Turbo 350/400 wont cost to much.
