I kinda feel for the guy, mustang driver or not. He was in the right lane and for some reason he swerved and nailed the right wall, then bounced over and bumped the left one in the pic.

Too bad insurance won't cover wrecks occuring in timed racing events.

Youwch!!
That is one of the reasons people need to learn how to "drive well" before trying to "race".

Yeah, thanks to him I had to wait in line 2 hours for my first run. It was Mustang night, so I felt about an inch tall with being surrounded by a bunch of mullets and alcohol burners. Oh well it was fun.

Dammit I knew someone would ask... I ran a 16.1 with a third gear mis shift :( then another 16.1 with a wheel hopping launch and another person in the car. I hadn't practiced with this engine at all yet so I guess it was to get a feel for it at the track. I'm sure I'll be in the very high 14's by summer's end with a few mods I plan on buying shortly. I ran a 14.9 in my DX on a 55 shot of ZEX, and I know I didn't just buy an expensive engine to lose to that.

Being that you drive a FWD econobox, you wouldn't know what it's like when your 650 rwhp car breaks one rear wheel loose causing you to slightly move in one direction, then the LSD kicks in and the other rear wheel breaks loose and it starts to fishtail, and there you go.
Even the pro's have it happen to them once in a while.

Are you PMSing man?
You come out of the blue after not seeing you posting here for MONTHS and attempt to antagonize people in TWO different threads.
First of all, Neutrino's comment was just that, a comment (which is absolutely true, in my opinion anyhow). If you've been paying attention lately, you'll know that Neut is a big proponent of track (with turns) racing.
What the hell does that have to do with a 650HP RWD car? FYI: YOUR car is more of an econobox than his is at this point. You're the one that is so proud of the 3,000 dollars you spent on it.
Lastly, WHO THE HELL ARE YOU to be saying what people do or do not know? How do you know Neutrino has never driven a Hi-po RWD car?
Accidents like that in the original post happen to even 108HP FWD Civics. What? Their tires break loose too?
Right now, I probably sound like I need to chill out more than you, but you are seriously annoying with these snide comments of yours.

Why's that? You're allowed to take other people as long as they have a wristband. Or were you talking about the camera? To me it sounds like a recipe for a slower time is all...

That is a good point. I know that something can still happen, and if I had a 12 second car I wouldn't let anybody ride with me, but my car can only get 15's-16's so it doesn't bother me too much. Good point though...

Ricochet in one of your post you said you ran a 14.9 in you dx I just wanted to know what all was done to it. I have this gay ass v8 mustang Gt with Cobra Emblem on it(he said his car is faster then a cobra says he has cobra chip and some other shit done to his car) anyway he runs 14.9 at the track and if I can set up like you did and run him and tie with him he would be sick. so hook me up with the info
also I know you ran nos to your dx how many shots and what happen to the motor did it blow or something or did it work ok

On my D16 I had an ACT clutch, aem cai, greddy header, apexi n1 exhaust, short shifter, walboro fuel pump, aem fuel rail and psi gauge, ngk bkr7e 2-step colder plugs, 17" rims with yokohama parada spec2 rubber, unorthadox crank pulley, aem adj. cam sprocket, and was running a 55 shot of zex heated to 1200psi. A 55hp shot with that much psi is probably the equivilant of a 65-70 shot. I ran a 14.9 against a Z28 which ran a 14.8, and I had a full interior. I only got that time once though, and the funny part was I had a busted motor mount for about two weeks prior. The rest of that night I ran 15.2-15.5 at ~90mph.
Nitrous never blew my engine, it was my lack of paying attention to detail combined with the nitrous. The first engine I slowly leaned out bending the rods, wearing the piston rings, and blowing the head gasket because I didn't hook up the hoses correctly. The second engine I fried in one shot because I had just got my timing set to run a 65 shot, went home and swapped the fuel pill, took out the 55 nitrous pill, and forgot to put in the 65 pill. I literally blew like a 500hp shot into my engine, instantly vaporizing the piston rings and tearing everything up. A compression test later on showed three cylinders completely or almost completely gone, and one cylinder was still good somehow...
Now I have my CTR engine, and VTEC is my nitrous replacement :bigthumb:
