aftermarket head unit

is the installation of an aftermarket head unit the same for a 96 and a 97? i know there were very few changes including the headlights and taillights... but were there significant interior/wiring changes that would make installation different? the reason why i ask is because crutchfield.com doesn't know anything about 97+ 240s, but they have installation info for a 96. if i followed the installation info for a 96 would i be fine? would rather not pay $50 to get it installed by someone.. thanks
