My driver's side window went down but won't go back up. Anyone have this problem before? What was the fix? Thanks

Sorry, it's a 1996 Grand Caravan ES.

The part was $155 and it took 2 hours labor (mechanic not me!).

If you can hear the window motor working and your not blowing fuses, your plastic belt with teeth most likely is stripped or snapped. Usually the motors fine. The strap is around $40.00 if you do it yourself. If done by a garage the price is as stated by your first respondent. IF it is the motor, expect a much higher bill.

Dad, 96 Caravans dont use a strap, power windows are run by cables, that attach to a spool on the motor. They are very messy when they break, cable everywhere.
Check the dealer for replacement power window motor, should come with motor, cables, and attachments for the window, and new rails.
Make sure you get a Chiltons or a Hayes before you open anything up.
both of my front windows went out. Parts were about $90 a piece for the replacements, left and right, (Austin Tx). It took me about 2 hours to replace both sides with help. (someone needs to hold the window)
