:loser: I have gotten all kinds of different info on this. I have an 88 hatch and I am planning on piutting lowering springs (1.8:F, 1.9"B) with 16" rims and 215 or 205(i haven't decided) 40/16 tires. Will I need a camber kit? I have been told as long as I don't go lower than 2" I won't need one. :spit: Will I or won't I? That is the ?

There is no rule or anything as a lot of internet people will have you beleive. (probably getting info from people who don't even have their cars lowered)
I know that my car is dropped 1.8" and it didn't even settle very low, but I DO need a camber kit.. Bad. I wear through tires at the most in 2 months.. My 16s wear incredibly fast because they're so wide, I usually get about 6-7000kms on a new set of Kumhos. :(
Just get the springs, lower it, and take it to a shop to get an alignment. They'll tell you how much your camber is out, and probably tell you that you need to get a kit.
