where the o2 sensor located?

Well my car boggs out alot and runs sluggish.So i checked my ECU and its trowing an oxygen content code(1).So do i need to replace my o2 sensor.Also where is it located at and how much do they run for?

Its on your header.You'll see 2 wires connect to it. It should cost 60-100 bucks at any auto shop.

two wires?? mine has one:confused: ah well, umm, do NOT get one from a UAP/NAPA Store, they are SHIT quality, i've gone thru 2 in the past 2 - 3 weeks, get a bosch O2 sensor

definatly go Bosch on the O2 sensor, and it should def have 2 wires going to it.

thats weird, the one i took out had one wire,
maybe cuz my cars still got the D15?? i dunno

it will most definately *NOT* have two wires going to it. either it will have 1 wire if it is obd0, or it will have 4 wires if it is OBDI+.

The extra wires in the OBDI setup are for heated O2 sensor, which OBD0 does not have, hence the reason why OBD0 o2 sensors are located up very close to the head ports on the exhaust manifold, and OBDI setups have the 4 wire o2 sensor located on the collector flange since its heated, it doesnt need to use the heat from the exhaust to heat it up like OBD0.

All the OBD0 cars i have ever worked on have had one wire for the O2... and $60-100 is OUTRAGEOUSE! I can get you an OEM replacement from honda for $45.

they are only$40 from autozone for a bosh one and they are all one wire

dont have it anymore, swapped the old manifold for some dc header, but i swear i remember seeing 2 wires running to it.

If you have a two wire OBD0 O2 censor and you tossed it your a frigin moron... Cause thats what they call a "Wideband" O2 censor and they are worth a pretty penny since OBD0 widebands are uber rare.
I think Mugen used to make one?
