PM6 vs. PG7

From what I've read a PM6 will run my ZC lean and the PG7 will run rich, So witch is best to use with the DOHC ZC? I know the PG7 has the higher redline but wouldnt running lean be more powerful than rich? Thanks.

Just use the right ECU for the swap! I don't understand why people cheap out on this kind of shit and wind up wrecking the motor they swapped?! :confused:

Running lean is a very bad idea.

The right ECU is a PM7 which is hard to find and harder to find a a good price. I've been running the PM6 on mine since I had it. It runs great. Gets good mileage and pollution would be less I guess.

Unfortunately, I have never had my PM7 and ZC in the car at the same time...lol

But in my last Si, I ran the Zc with both the pm6 and pg7 ecu's. I never had a problem with running lean/rich, so I dont know what the deal with that is. My car passed emissions with flying colors, even with the Zc.

pm6 - Good
pg7 - Better
pm7 - Best

The only advantage the pg7 has over the jdm pm7 is the lack of a speed limiter. The pm7 limits out at 115mph. I think I may leave that limiter in place, so that Im not tempted to take her that high. Plus it will keep me outta trouble...........somewhat...:icon16:

I have a PM6 right now; I would like a PM7 but I don't know where to find them:confused:

i ported the head and intake on my beater all crazy style and i definatly noticed a difference. in neutral it revs up a lot faster with the pg7 in there. i heard u can use a fuel pressure regulator off a 92 to bump it up 5 psi, thats for a regular si motor tho.

The PG7 is fine, when you install I/H/E you want to give the engine a little more fuel to burn with all the airflow anyway.
