switchin trannys

hey i was just wondering if there is ne way i can take the manual transmission out of a car thats not made by toyota and swap it with my automatic. i understand that even if it is possible its complex shit to learn how to do...

why would you take it from another car? just buy a R-154 or a W-58 (you got a turbo or n/a?), here i did some searching for you and came up with a good explanation of what you'll need to do it. http://www.supraforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=125064&highlight=auto+manual+swap

because dude i can get the other transmission for free and i dont have the money right now to buy a new tranny...

Well are you going to tell me what kind of tranny it is? What i'd do is get the free tranny and sell it, then go to the junk yards and find a supra turbo tranny, do it right the first time and it'll be much easier on you and shouldn't cost more than $100 for one.

Hmmm, it would be best if you tried the junkyard, or try to look up some that are pretty cheap.
