So for some reason, when I start up my car the idle speed goes to 1000 to begin with, then dips down to 500 for a second, bounces back up to 1200, and then recovers to 1000. Basically feels like the hit that happens when the AC pump comes on, only larger. Nothing else seems wrong except this little startup routine. I just installed the conforti chip a few weeks ago, but the service guys say the chip doesn't touch idle speed. Also just put in new Bosch platinum plugs. Anyone know what might be causing this hit? Why my car almosts bogs out before it stabilizes?

probably a wacky temp sensor, or maybe the idle valve is getting cranky
