Looking at a 240sx

hey guys,


I have been a long time honda user, However the chance for me to pickup a 1990 240SX (hatch) has come up and it's a pretty good price (900$) it's a 5speed, with the original motor.

However I know very little about Nissan's. What should I look for on the car? If I pick this up I am planning a SR20DET swap (s13 or s14?).

any insight would be great.

s-13 red top motor for this swap..
the 1990 240sx i think comes with a sohc motor so the sr swap will be a little more difficult b\c the sr is dohc.. so the wireing is gona bea bitch to do but it is possible.

what to look for is the same in any other car. make sure the car moves, no serious damage to the chassie and suspension components. since you are changeing the motor the current motor condition shouldn't matter.
