I was in the market for buying a used car and i was thinking of getting a 1999 Eclipse GS with like 42k miles on it. I was just wondering though if eclipses that are from 99 or so models are reliable and last long without very many problems? Or if eclipses in general have lots of problems with them or not? I don't plan on really racing it, but just taking good car of it. Let me know you guys opinions, i dont know that much about cars so anything in general or problems you have seen in the past or so with your eclipse or anything in general would help. Thanks

I have a 97 RS, with 96,000 on it...the only problems i have had are i had to replace a radiator, and my flex pipes need to be replaced..(although im putting on an N1 exhaust) other than that...it runs perfect....

Did you race it a lot or at all?....How much did all that stuff cost to replace? Did it not give you any other problems that those until it reached somewhat high mileage? Thanks
