Compact spare tire

Did any of the late 80's or early 90's Fords have convenience/compact spare tires? I have a 57' Tbird replica built on a 92' Mustang 14", 4 bolt front/rear end and want the smallest possible spare tire since the trunk is small.
I'd appreciate any help.

If you want the smallest possible, why not go with the fix-a-flat container? They work pretty much the same way (my "pony" spare can't go above 50 mph for more than 45 miles i think... and the fix-a-flat goes 55 for about that much also)

I'm guessing you know the drawbacks to those, though. Sometimes they may not work, and lose pressure over time... similar to fire extinguisher. But since you have a small trunk I'm just going to suggest getting that unless you're really really adverse to that option. In which case I couldn't really help you because I know nothin about spare tires and getting one.

Oh and the spare would probably have to have a similar size to the tires you have on... ie all mustangs have same tire height no matter what kind of rims you put on them (i measured). This is probably true for all vehicles but like I said I don't know much. But I'm guessin if you're using spiffy white wall tires like the tbirds used... you might even need to get a full size spare.

I hope that helped... sorry if it didn't.
