Is my rear gona explode!

I'm building a 1971 vette for the street and strip. estamated horse power around 450. looking to run low 11s. I'm using a trans break and slicks. My problem is, I don't think the stock rear is going to handel it. I conciderd a straight axle but it would be alot of cuting. My father has a 94 vette and it looks posible to put a C4 rear in a C3. The C4 rear looks alot stronger. I know they have a dana 36 in the automatics and a dana 44 in the manuals. How much stronger are these rears compaired to the C3s? Has any one ever done such a thing? If so, how did you do it? I'm open to sugestions.
