In the last 6 months

I have bought about 10 kits and finished 0. I keep losing interest in the actual modelling part, but get excited when I see something sitting on the shelf (especially when it's cheap).

I've also bought a ton of supplies...... I keep telling myself I do more modelling when I'm in school, but :wink: you know what'll probably happen......

I built an NSX in May, (completed in about 3 weeks) but haven't finished anything since. To be honest, I have done some work, but very little.

Do you ever hit slumps like this?

Indeed, the infamous "modeler's block"!
Especially when nearing completion, that can be a truly pain in the arse, but what you need to do is to stop buying new models untill you finished one , that will surely get you boosted!

I no what your going throught man, and I usually end up packing all my stuff into a box, and packing up the unfinished model and put it away for a while, then on one of those rainy days (or if your like me, to lazy to leave the house and get dressed:tongue: days) I end up pulling out my model.

I get in these slumps all the time. Best thing for me is to go do something else, like build something completly different than what you normally build. Try building a model plane or a figure kit. After completing a kit like that you should be ready to come back to cars.

I get that way when it takes an unusually long time to complete a model. With work and family comitments getting in the way and all.
Or just the kit itself being a pain.

I picked up one yesterday, that I had previsouly started.

I had sprayed all the pieces, and assembled the engine and body then lost interest. (The Enzo came out) It's been on the shelf since Dec.

But with all the paint being done, assembly went really fast. It was farther along than it appeared still on the trees. I'll complete it in a couple days, and it feels good to get it done.

My goal is to finish anything I've started, then move on to the new.

I had never tried more than one project at a time before, and will never again. 1 car at a time is the best way to go for me.

It's hard to work on one when there are 50 cool cars sitting on the shelf screaming to get worked on. I wish they were more patient. :lol:

Don't get discouraged. Slow progress is still progress.

I get them also and the best think i find to do is just put everything away untill you feel the time is right to make you want to do it again.
Hell....i took about 10 years off before i got keen again :eek7:
