Well, I ran a 16.3 second quarter!!! Seems slow let me explain. I have a 91 teg gs 4 door. It has 200k miles on it. I had slightly over a half of tank, I did not take weight out, like spar tire or anything. I have absolutly terrible, dry rotted s rated standard passenger tires on the car. Plus about an inch of baked on brake dust on the stock 14 inch wheels. I also was running on 89 octane gas. Hmm what else was against me... The temp was in the 90's and my struts/shocks are all bad. The car was dirty as hell, so it was not as sleek as it could be as my speed climbed. Oh and I was a quart low on oil, but I topped it off right before I left the house to go to the track. the best speed I trapped was 83 MPH. I was running against my buddy in his modded '01 sentra. He could not get anything better than a 16.88, his best trap speed was 80.25 MPH. I am sorry I don't have my slips here at work, and I have no way of scanning them so I can upload them to the net. The car is only on its secod set of Plugs and wires. So I am going to give the car a lot of standarn work (major tune-up) then get it washed waxed, put new LW 15 inch wheels with good tires, and new shocks/struts. Then get a new fuel filter, 93 Octane gas and less of it. Then I am going to lose 10 pounds, and see if I can break into the 15's, even 15.99 would make me happy. Well what does everyone think??
