Forum may be causing me problems!!

Heres the scenerio, i havent been here since i formatted my comp (4-6months ago), a problem with it before i formatted was it would only save pictures from IE as bitmaps.. after formatting i never had the problem until TODAY saving a picture from THIS forum. Im very pissed off so could someone tell me how to fix this, or at least say if you have experienced this problem also.

Im not sure how this forum could cause this.. but the problem happened around when i joined this forum, and hasnt reoccured on my freshly formatted comp until today! after coming back here.. so i came to this conclusion, i allready tried last time this happened to see if it was a setting in IE or something. This is very annoying because i save alot of pictures, and when saving in bitmap only the quality is no better (because the scource image is JPG/GIF) and the file size is too big. I dont want to have to waste 500mb HD space when i can only use up 50mb with jpg's that look EXACTLY the same. Please help!!! im begging you.

AF has nothing to do with your problem. However, I have no idea where the setting is to solve your problem. Maybe someone else here will be able to help you out. Good luck!

What Igor said. It is impossible for AF to be the source of your problems. Stop in the off top/computer & technical forum for more specific help. We have some sharp people stop in there who might be able to help you sort out your computers problems.

I posted a thread about this to help in the Graphic Manipulation forum, but Microsoft acknowledges a problem with this. There is a fix I will see if I can dig it up for you and email you with it or post it here.

For the time being I don't know what Version of IE your running but try cleaning out your "Temporary internet Folder" I have heard this is a workaround for the problem you are having. I have my comp set to automatically clear history, temp files, and cookies every time I boot, which is daily.

Thanks alot, i guess i over reacted alot:rolleyes: Very strange though, i do empty my temporary files folder every now and then.. its strange that it filled up so fast.. its a damn pain to empty, the first time i try it just sits there for ages and makes Ie have an error :tongue: then i have to close it and do it again which doesnt take long.. anyway, ive set my temp internet folder to 2gb and ill make sure i empty it more often, ill also look into the other ways i may get the problem...

Sorry for blaming this forum again.. i just remember the first time it happened was around when i joined here, and now it happens the very moment i come back.. i guess i just look at quite afew pics here.

I also found another way around it which works for sites with thumbnails.. you simply use the save target as feature... anyway, thanks for the help, the only thing thats strange is last time this happened sware i deleted my temp internet folder, and still nothing...anyway now i got the page to solve the problem many ways, im fine.
