Performance Blue or 2001 Focus Rally?

Considering one of these as my first rally kit. How did either one of these kits go together?

Anyone whos built both of them, can you post some pics of the 2 of them together?

I try using the search. Ive seen a few of those Performance blue's around here.

Construction-wise they are identical becuase the plastic sprues are exactly the same. Painting on the Blue car will be easier becuse it is all one colour. The 2001 Monte car needs first white then the blue areas masked and painted.

The 2001 car is very accurate, just needs a small mod to the rollcage. The 2002 is okay if done as Duval's Corsica car, needs the rollcage mod and the kit headlights are all wrong. However if you wish to do Martin's Deutschland car the kit is woefully wide of the mark. Many mods would be needed to the bonnet, front bumper, roof ventilation scoop, rollcage, dash, headlights, and probably more I can't think of at the moment.

Well, I actually had this crazy idea while laying in bed this morn. Instead of making it a WRC car, make it either SCCA Group N or Open Class car.

Problem is, how would I make custom name decals?

Im going to check and see what studio 27 has and get back to everyone.
