stock anti theft on my 03 Accord EX

Is the current start kill device in the 2003 Accord EX good enough to keep the theives from wanting to take this car? I know, if they really want it, they can have it hauled off on a flatbed, but the dealer is telling me there is an added honda alarm system they can install for the low low price of 700 bucks installed.

If my seats get stolen and they take the cupholders, my insurance will cover that, but they can't really take the car without the key, right?

only if they know where the starter kill relay is, and if they can find a way to break the iginition thing so they can turn it without a key, because they would need to unlock the wheel..the relay is pretty hard to find for the average car theif, I know because i installed a honda oem alarm in my civic, and the relay is quite hard to get to....

there isnt a big car theft issue where i live, but that is comforting news.
03ccrdV6, care to give some details on your car? Coupe or sedan? Manual or Auto? Navi or No?

pimpedcivic/kamikaze accord... much appreciated advice. As of this morning I decided to eat the cost and have it put in. The difference between the start kill anti-theft and the aftermarket one the dealership is offering is that the stock alarm won't go off if they bust a window etc. The aftermarket will and has an additional starter kill.

I don't have anything fancy on board (no nav) just the sedan EX leather and I live near downtown Washington D.C. and I'm one of those nervous types when it comes to my new car. I knew as I agreed to have it installed that I was being taken for a ride. that what peace of mind costs ya know?

Kamikaze Accord, how are you liking the new coupe? I wanted the 6speed real bad, but I really liked the look of the sedan and opted for that. You know if Honda is coming out with the sedan in manual? I've asked around, but no word...

peace

Havent heard any word on the 6 speed sedan. I love the coupe, im a 16 year old, so im craving that sporty feel, so i opted for the coupe.
