Well time to make a speaker box, getting 4 speakers from ci5ic and two subs from a friend of mine now all i need is an amp, but i want something not so high priced.

Now my question, and vision what I wanna do is something kinda like 4g4dstore did with his speakers in his trunk where they lay flat, then have it run up an angle to the back seats and back down again with the seat

__________/.............\

(Forget the dots needed to put them in there to space it out)
something that looks kinda like that, have the subs on the flat part, two speakers on the slope part and then the amp inbetween that. Now my question is that I wanna keep my spare tire, but have easy acess to it, so how would i do that? just put the flat part on hinges? or is there something more that i need to do?

also this wont be lying flat right on the trunk floor, im gonna put maybe a half inch gap for it to sit on.

thanks

but i still want to have access to my spare tire and jack so should i put a board on hinges so that it swings up to reveal the spare tire?

if you still want access to your spare, you're going to have to have the subs up really close to the seats, and then yeah... probably have a door to get to your spare tire... depending on the amps you use though, you can always mount them under your front seats to save room ;)

starting the base tomorrow to give it more support instead of that cardboard shit covering the wheel, and gonna start measuring for the box tomorrow as well.

okay i got the base all cut out so when my dad leaves im gonna cut a place out so i can still get to my spare tire and put a hinge on it.

now what type of wood should i use for the speaker box? and what are some companies that sell black carpet? thanks
