My name is John and I am stationed overseas in Germany... I am about to buy a 1991 Honda Prelude... It is a Euro spec Honda.... It is a 2.0 and pushes 140 HP... The car itself is in superb condition and only has about 58k on it...The 2.0 is mated to a 5-spd trans... The car is fully loaded except for a/c.. However it does have full leather interior and abs.. After I purchase the car I want to start making upgrades such as intake, header, exaust, etc.... Im looking for info on a motor swap if the engine that the prelude has is not worth building up.. I have been looking on the net for performance parts but dont see a whole lot for a 91....everything I have seen is for a 92 and above... I would appreciate some info of any upgrades that would be to the preludes advantage. If any of you readers have any input I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

I will keep it for as long as I am overseas, possibly converting it to US specs so I can get it in the country. Not sure yet....depends on how much i drop into it...as you know that can be a never ending thing...lol

my step dad had a 200sx or something in ger back in the early eighties, even if you don't decide to take the car with you, you can always bring the engine in you unaccompanied baggage right?

i would just do an engine swap. the engine is sorta worth building up, but the newer prelude engines are more worth it. take a 98 H22a for example. 195 hp, throw a vtec controller on there, and you gots 220 already. i would personally go with the swap, but whatever's good for you. it all depends on how much money you want to spend.
