has anyone else had this problem w/their 93?

I was wondering if anyone else who owns a Diamante LS...93 model, has had any major problems after their car hit 100,000 miles. I bought my car with that many miles already on it and a month after I had been driving it, EVERYTHING started tearing up on it. It took 8 months for us to get it running again and it still is not running smoothly.

Does the Diamante have a history of having lots of mechanical problems after 100,000 miles? Just wondering if I just have a bad apple or if I should trade it in before it gets worse.

Thanx

Drastic problems can occur with the Misubishi 6G72 v6 in the Diamante (and like 30 other cars) if regular service intervals for transmission service and timing belt service are not followed. That's the problem with a secon-hand 6G72 - sometimes you just don't know whether it's been serviced or not. Sorry to hear that you had such issues...

and it's running great. I love it. I had it since it had only 47K. I'm replacing the timing belt every 65~75K. It's a great car.
