Bright lights

I have a 1990 240SX and i wanted to wire up my front parking lights to light up bright. When i hit the turn signal it brightens and then dims. But if i do, this my question is "Will the turn signal handle the heat from the bulb or what other dual filimen bulb is bright but does not heat up to much?"
