In South Africa we ONLY get right hand drives.

I think that's because the majority of South Africans are right handed:bloated:  :bloated:

Likewise here in Australia - there's no such thing as left-hand drive :biggrin2:

I would show off my RHD Hatch, but ppl are sick of the pics of it now :p

Call me stupid, but to me it doesn't look like the person that owns that car would have/did put the money forth to get a RHD swap done in that shitter. Look at it. Look at the seats, and the sticker on the hood. A RHD swap is almost garanteed more money than that person can afford.

Got more pics of the car? (liscense plates, interior shots)
I'm not buying it for a second.

Probably.. I read somewhere that some dudes in Japan like to get USDM style shit on their rides, so they're modded but clean. I dunno, I've never seen anyone rocking the LHD conversion though.. :) Maybe I should offer someone a trade? :p

I dealt with a couple of guys from japan before....

The first thing is that honda's arent incredibly popular there outside of people who use them for circuit racing. Most people own FR platforms like skylines, silvias, supras etc.., and rightly so. How many of us would have a 91 civic, if we could buy a used 91 Silvia for about the same amount? hahaha

I did have a guy who wanted to trade headlights on my ex girlfriends 91 integra....He was going to straight up trade the usdm's for the 1-pieces, but he changed his mind because he was getting a new car.

He told me that the only "american" trend that seems to really be catching on is our midsized SUV's with stuff like big tires and shit geared for the off-road crew. Japan being so small, there isn't much use for a big thing like a 4runner, so they get them do be different. This guy wanted me to order stuff from Toyota america for his HI LUX SURF (toyota 4runner)

That, and they seem to like anything american like liscense plates and frames and decals from the US.

Nope - not at all :thefinger

Very little US stuff makes it here except for old stangs, caddys and vettes. All are usually converted to RHD. PT Cruiser hit the shores and didn't do too well, but it was RHD. V8s are generally Ford Falcons and Holden Commodores/Monaros, 6s and 4s are usually Euro or Jap spec cars. :)

about 99% of the cars here are RHD, most of the people dont want the hassle when overtaking, my bro's friend had a car like the knightrider cant remember its name, that was LHD, and he ended up fitting a video camera into the front bumper and wiring up a small tv screen so he could see easier when over taking
