get the ususal, cold air intake, i suggest K&N, intake manifold, 4-1 headers, catback system, and lightened flywheel, underdrive pully, yo is ur car runnin a VTECH?

i would throw down a turbo on an ls because ls is more turbo friendly than a vtec car like a gsr. but thats just me

notice im asking about the process of putting a GSR head (vtec) on the LS motor! ONLY THING IS ITS A AUTOMANIC! so....is the trans of a auto harder to find..is it worth putting on a ls motor?

If you get a turbo youll have no need for intake or headers because they will be replaced by a turbo manifold and a intakes setup just for the turbo. as for the catback you could still use that on a turboed car.

the only prob is a good turbo will run u around 4k not incuding installation, and i can't stand automatic, takes the fun out of driving, i say just go for the regulat mod intake headers and exhaust, pulleys, and chip, too bad its not a stick.

I've been driving auto. cars since I was 16...I'm 21 now...and I'm sorry to tell u man I'm not a fan.
But if u plan on keeping ur car I'd say go for the turbo....but only if u have some knowledge of turbos and how to mantain one. Otherwise just stick to the basics i/h/e....good luck

you cant use intake or header with a turbo, you need custom equivalents.
exhaust you sure as hell need if you're running a turbo. stock integra has 2" exhaust piping, most people get 2.5" or bigger with turbo applications

I doubt it matters in manual or auto when it comes to doing a LS/Vtec since they are the same engine. Swapping in a GSR head is cool, gives you vtec and all that...but i wouldn't recommend anybody doing LS/vtec conversion, it's not very realiable and not many people or mechanics can do it 100% right....with that money in hand..it's better to turbocharged your LS since like they said, it's more turbo friendly engine...oh i forgot....you have an auto...i don't feel like backspacing lol, so...think about gettin it to manual. :bigthumb:

if you are truly interested in getting a turbo you will need a helluvalot more than simply a turbo. on an automatic it would be even more difficult...i just like you have a 1999 LS non-vtec with AT and have learned just how much time and money it takes to turbo your car to a respectable but not dangerous level. I am in the process of building mine to a 12.5s daily driver. Fast enough to beat a Z06 for about 20g's less (it is still an integra though). Step 1: UPGRADE THE TRANNY!!!! Stock LS AT's can really only put down about 190hp before you need tranny upgrades. you will need to upgrade gears, spines, and the torque converter. this runs about 2500. next are the internals for your engine...again about 1000 for parts. the turbo alone can run about 2200 without kit + intercooler which may cost another 1200. dont forget about the turbo manifold and the new suspension yer gonna need for your car to handle that ridiculous amount of torque and HP. Yer Brakes need MASS UPGRADING TOO because you will have so much torque at the wheels that yer stock brakes aren't gonna be able to stop, period. A Functional hood scoop is recommended if yer going top mount intercooler front mount is better though. exhaust will need to be minimally 2.5". I have 2.5" and it certainly helps with the backpressure creating more torque anything above 3" is not recommended o and fuel injection lotsa money into fuel injection. flat out it will run you 10g's for the parts alone and labor can be more.
with 2g's I would get: AEM Cold Air with bypass valve (in case it ever rains) = 220, N1 Exhaust = 400 JG Edelbrock throttle body or throttle body in general 350-900, Cams 250-400, 4-1 header 400, and chip should equal about 2g's and are easily self-installed...cept for the chip.

how about supercharging a automagic LS motor?

i just wanna ask, are most of u guys on crack here?the guy said he has only 2g's to spend and after i said a turbo is around 4g's some of u still tell him to get a turbo.this calls for a bitch slap :biggrin2: if ur gonna give the guy advice atleast know what ur talking about. another thing also a motor swap for a gsr motor is like 3-4g's just for the motor, and i swear he said he had only 2g's,come on now :wtf: some of u do know what ur talking about i commend them, the rest of u guys go back and hit ur super street or sport compact mags

they both basically do the same thing, its thier method of getting the horse power thats different. i would rather have turbocharger although it has the lag but at least it have dramatically less parasytic loss. but again why used force induction on an auto, its really no fun, and already have less power just bcuz its an auto in the first place.
