I am in the process of getting a Greddy Evo, and a garage quoted me at 60 bucks to put it on, another gave me the run-around and said it would be upwards of 80 bucks...needless to say who i'm going to take it to, unless someone thinks that it is super easy to put one on and can explain it to me.

get under the car, spray the hell outta the bolts with some lubericant - do it again in a few hours, let it sit over night (make sure you do it when the car is sitting, exhaust heat will probably burn it away... defeating the purpose of using it) Jack stands, remove the bolts... throw new one up.

I just did one myself.
Its easy IF you can get the bolts near the cat off. I had to dremel tool the ones on a 97' Civic EX off with the dremel cuting tool. After that, it was a easy. Oh yea. Make sure you go buy three new nuts & bolts for the ones you cut off or wrecked taking them off. You don't get them with the exhaust kit (Apexi WS).

the problem with doing it yourself is that not every person out there has access to a lift, or floor jacks with jack stands... DO NOT get under your car if all you have is that ghetto stock scissor jack. if you're jerking the bolts hard to get the nuts off <--- whoa, that sounded gross, then you can knock the car off the jack and it will fall on you... and it will hurt.. I did it myself and I almost dropped the car on myself twice

Sweetcarz.com, if the exhaust system passes emissions testing, then what is the problem with it? If it really is bad, it won't pass, and he won't be able to insure it, then he won't be able to drive it. Pass or fail, the end result will be OK, if he passes - his car is acceptable. If he fails - he can't drive it anyways, so what does it matter?

Sweetcarz.com is making all the same posts in different threads about harming the ozone layer. Just ignore him, cuz he's oviously retarded.

I sense just the slightest hint of sarcasm in your post... lol

*anyways* If you have at least a basic set of metric tools, jack, jackstands, and nuts and bolts just in case yours break, you should be able to handle a job like installing cat back exhaust. Sparq is right... SPRAY THE BOLTS. The best penetrant I have ever found is called PB Blast, get yourself a can, spray the crap out of the bolts, then go for it.
