GX20 engine???

Has anyone ever heard of a GX20 from Honda? I didn't know Honda made a G-series engine. It's a serious engine, too; according to Super Street, the GX20 is "a Honda 2.0L...crate engine from Mr. Gasket that pumps out more than 220 hp." Where can I get one of these? BTW, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in an hour...wish me luck!

There has to be. They showed a picture of of it and everything. It was in the New Products section. They wouldn't just lie about it.

Then call Mr Gasket and ask about their "Crate" GX20 - doesnt that seem like the obvious solution?

Honda makes a C20 motor......which is a JDM Acura Legend motor making 200hp.

Thats clearly a B-series motor. Probably so highly modded and custom they saw fit give it theyre own name. Maybe a CRVTEC.

Being a "crate" motor - be ready to drop probably 5-6 grand. Just for the motor...

I'm not seriously gonna buy it. I just wanted to know what it was. I don't have that kind of money.

Actually I just got off the phone, pricing for the complete motor will be around $11,900... or $7900 for just the short block. :eek:

Talk about a rip off, you could buy a B20 block, VTEC head - COMPLETELY rebuild it from top to bottom - get the same HP numbers, and spend half of that! Hell I would rather buy a few Spoon motors :thefinger

now there are saying the gx20 is making 270hp and 185 torque those are pretty impressive but what is the hefty price tag for that motor
