MPFI conversion problem

Hi,

I am about to convert my DPFI harness over to MPFI for my D16A6 SI engine swap.
Well I just received my injector resistor box from EBAY yesterday.
It said it will work for MPFI conversion but its from a Honda Accord.
Not sure what year.
I am using fourthgenhatch.com's turtorial on how to do this conversion.

The DX has 2 injector plugs on it, cut them off as close to the plug as you can. Connect all the yellow/black wires from those injector plug wires and solder them all together. From that combined connection solder on another wire and run it to the yellow/black wire on the Injector Resistor Box.

Only prob is my injecto box doesnt have any yellow/black wire?
Its got 4 black wires and 1 red wire.

It looks jsut like the injector box from the SI though. Except some different wire colors.
Also, the harness plug on the the injector box, are u suppsoed to cut that off and then solder the wires to it?

The 4 black wires will go to the injectors and the red one goes to 12+. It will work fine. I take it is sort of the one that looks like a twinkie.

So basically on either one the 4 wires all the same color go to injectors, the odd colored wire goes to power.

Ok real quick question.
So your sayin cut the plug in harness and solder all the 4 black wires on the injector box together then run it to the combined yellow/black wires on the injector plugs right?
But what about where it says:

-Now run a wire from the right side of each injector plug and connect it to the red/black wires on the injector resistor box (the order doesn't matter from what I've seen).

Umm where abouts do these wires go?
Red one?

Oh NVm mind man.
I realized what u meant.
The yellow/black wires solder together and solder up to the red wire.
The injector plug wires run it to ANY of the black wires on the injector box.

Yes there are several wires on the DX harness you just solder together and then run a wire from those to power the resistor box. Then those 4 wires on the resistor box go to each of the injector plugs, the order doesn't matter.

Did u finish with ur mpfi swap,
i did mine and use the accord resistor box too.
and i can't seen to get my car running since i got the swap,
after doing the convert i try to start the car up, and it would start then die and i check lots of thing and found out that the fuel only inject once then stop.
thats why the car start when the fuel first inject then it dies but can't find why isit doing that ,not injecting repeatly.
Please help me........

holy old post

those two black and yellow wires on the DX harness arent both needed. if you look at the pinout, you can use only one that is in the injector power pin. I just took the other yellow one off and my swap worked fine.
